I'M A HONG KONGER, TOO!
The iPhone application “I’M A HKGER, TOO!” features in 4 categories, inspired by everyday living for visitors in Hong Kong, from the taxi and tram to dim sum and tea.
The direction of this project is designing an iPhone application to encourage visitors learn to speak simple Cantonese when visiting Hong Kong.
The app “I’M A HKGER, TOO!” has been designed for every day situations. With a series of illustrations to demonstrate the rich culture, culinary traditions, architecture and the transport system of Hong Kong, along with the pronunciation in Cantonese of each object.
It demonstrates the accessibility of Cantonese is when applied to everyday situations. The app focuses on conveying Cantonese is becoming marginalised in many regions, which worths people’s attention and appreciation.
